Work experience
I am currently a Senior Lecturer in International Business in the Department of Management at Monash University, Australia. From 2006-2010 I was a Senior Lecturer in International Business at the Victoria University of Wellington, School of Marketing and International Business. In 2005 I was Associate Professor of International Business and Marketing and from 2002-2005 I was Lecturer in the Department of Marketing at Vilnius University.
Research interests
My research interests center on International Business and International Management. I am most interested in cross-cultural management and the internationalization processes of firms. My current research focuses on these areas. More information about my current research projects can be found under the Research & Publications link above.
Education:
In 2002 I obtained my PhD degree in Comparative Management and began working as Lecturer at Vilnius University in the Department of Marketing. Dissertation title: The Influence of National Cultural Values on Management Attitudes: A Comparative Study Across Three Countries.
I have a MIB (International Business) from Vilnius University. Thesis title: The International Joint Venture: When Values Differ (Thesis evaluation: 10/10). During my master studies I also spent a semester at Aalborg University in Denmark.
I am originally from the USA, where I completed my undergraduate education at the University of Illinois (Urbana-Champaign), BA Russian-East European Studies and Economics. I spent my third year abroad at the Plekhanov Institute of Economics in Moscow, Russia and Vilnius University in Lithuania.
